Growth Energy CEO Tom Buis says the rule has a significant impact on the delivery of American-made ethanol – nearly 70-percent of which is transported by rail. Buis says Growth Energy and the ethanol industry have been actively engaged in this process since the outset and provided extensive comments on the proposal last year. Although Growth Energy is pleased that the rule begins to acknowledge the difference between cars in ethanol and crude service – Buis says they are extremely disappointed that regulators are requiring extensive changes to the ethanol rail fleet – while seemingly ignoring the number one cause of these accidents – broken rails and poor track condition. He says Growth Energy will work to further understand the implications of the rule and its impact on the industry.Source: NAFB News Service Lean Hogs HEM21 (JUN 21) 122.68 0.22 All quotes are delayed snapshots Previous articleSunday OutlookNext articleThe Sins of Omission: Chipotle, GMOs, & Antibiotics Andy Eubank RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Name Sym Last Change Battle Resistance With the Soy Checkoff ‘Take Action’ Program By Andy Eubank – May 4, 2015 Corn ZCN21 (JUL 21) 684.50 -14.50 SHARE How Indiana Crops are Faring Versus Other States Feeder Cattle GFQ21 (AUG 21) 151.18 2.78 Soybean ZSN21 (JUL 21) 1508.50 -35.50 U.S., Canada Transportation Departments Announce Rule for New Tank Car Standards Facebook Twitter Home Energy U.S., Canada Transportation Departments Announce Rule for New Tank Car Standards Wheat ZWN21 (JUL 21) 680.75 -3.00 SHARE STAY CONNECTED5,545FansLike3,961FollowersFollow187SubscribersSubscribelast_img read more
