The ranking comes as a result of the Bulldogs’ 15-3 start to the season and 4-0 start to MVC play to sit in first place in the league standings after two weeks of conference games. The team’s 4-0 start to the conference season is the program’s best since 1996 and the eight-game win streak is the longest since the 2010 team won 14-straight games. The Bulldogs aim to keep their quick start going this week with games at Evansville and Indiana State, Oct. 6 and 7.  The Bulldogs have gone a combined 9-1 in their last 10 meetings with the Sycamores and Purple Aces. She is the only player ranked in the top five in the MVC in kills and digs in MVC games and has continued to climb in the career record book at Drake as her 1,272 kills are the second most in school history and her 1,280 career digs rank fifth all-time. Riding an eight-game winning streak with a 4-0 record in Missouri Valley Conference play, the conference has named Drake senior Kyla Inderski (Urbandale, Iowa) the MVC Volleyball Player of the Week. Also, the Bulldogs broke into the top 100 in the nation in the NCAA’s Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) at No. 98. The Bulldogs are one of three MVC teams ranked in the top 100. Dating back to last season, the Bulldogs have won six-straight MVC games and eight of their last 10 matches against conference opponents.center_img  Print Friendly Version Last week, Inderski led Drake to three wins, two in the MVC, by averaging a double-double with 47 kills and 44 digs to average 4.27 kills per set while hitting .304 and adding 4.0 digs per set. She has recorded seven-straight double-doubles and in this week’s MVC games, she had 32 kills for a 4.0 kills per set average and 33 digs for a 4.12 digs per set average Inderski started the week with 15 kills on 26 attempts (.538) in three sets at Chicago State and added 15 kills and 17 digs in the five-set win over Illinois State with three of those kills coming on her seven attempts in the fifth set.
